Outreach Update
June 2006

Hello, my friends!

Tito Ruiz is my brother. He has made a HUGE difference in our ministry and in the community. In June, he'll begin a new phase of his ministry. I asked him to share with you his vision since he is also a board member of Whirlwind Missions. We are proud to support one of the best evangelists I've ever met!

Hello, My name is Gilberto "Tito" Ruiz. I am the Associate Pastor at "Cristo Vive Church," a Spanish speaking congregation in Lilburn. In May I was called to plant a new Spanish congregation at Sugarloaf Community Church in Suwanne! I will also be on staff at Youth Outreach United, helping the team coordinate evangelistic efforts.

I was born in Nicaragua, Central America a little over 30 years ago. I was born again over ten years ago. I came to the US in March 1996 and shortly after my arrival I was introduced to one of the BEST missionaries in the country, Tim Cummins. We started doing Outreach Events in apartment complexes around the metro area, and I have been working in missions ever since. Tim and I play with my brother, Lester in our band Cruz. I am the evangelist for our band. When we play, I have the joy of sharing the Gospel with those living in that complex. Serving with Whirlwind has shown me how important it is to "Take the Church to the People." We work in completely unchurched mission fields!

I'm happily married to Patricia Ruiz. We have a super handsome three year old boy Jacob. I met Patricia at church just a few days after she came from Colombia, South America to earn her PhD at Georgia State University. My family and I are very excited about what God is doing. We can't wait to start this new stage in our lives and ministry.

Missions, is my passion! It is my strong dream and desire to devote my time and resources in the community. We will meet the needs of the immigrant population and reach them with the Gospel. We will help them succeed in this country by establishing English as a Second Language classes, After School programs and community events. This is the core strategy of our ministry in Whirlwind Missions. Our highest priority is building relationships with people and sharing the Gospel. We provide discipleship by establishing Bible study groups in their community, then plugging them into a local church. Please pray for us as we start this new journey, that grace and wisdom is granted to us and that we give God nothing less but our best as we bring people to Him. Thank you for the support that Whirlwind Missions has given to our ministry over the years! We can't do it without you!

YOUR missionary,
Tito Ruiz
